Now in its sixth year, the Tawas Point Birding Festival has gained nationwide recognition as a key destination for observing spring bird migration. Birders from nearly two-dozen states flocked to Tawas and Oscoda communities in 2010. Due to its popularity, this year’s event will again host the Annual Conference of the Michigan Audubon Society. The support of residents and local businesses has helped build the excitement for bird watching opportunities in the area. You can help bring even more birders—and tourist dollars—to the Michigan communities of Tawas and Oscoda during the 2011 Tawas Point Birding Festival weekend.
