Digiscoping and iPhone Digiscoping for Today’s Birder (Thursday, May 15 @ 1 – 4 PM)
Instructed by Sharon “Birdchick” Stiteler, participants will learn how to take a point and shoot digital camera, digital SLR or smartphone camera and use your binoculars or spotting scope to get photos or videos of birds and mammals during this half-day workshop. This is a great workshop for people who are about to get a digiscope set up or those who already have a setup and are not happy with their photos. Sharon uses her digiscoping shots to illustrate techniques and tips for capturing digital images of birds. She will also have several types of adapters for participants to try out with their phones, as well as teach you how to take a photo by simply holding the phone to a spotting scope. You will also learn how to share your photos or videos on social media (and what sites are appropriate for sharing photos). After our classroom learning we will go out into the field to practice our technique.
FEE: $35
